Thick and creamy bubbles are the hallmark of our virgin coconut oil soap bars made using cold process. Due to the foaming properties of saponified coconut oil, no foaming additives are necessary.
Cleanses and Moisturises in one go: 'Superfatting' is the process of adding a generous amount of coconut oil into the soap. By using fresh-picked coconuts, this 'superfat' adds a built-in moisturiser while cleansing.
Why don't you just use regular coconut oil instead of Virgin coconut oil?
It's true that in the world of soap making, the oils that go into making a soap are usually regular refined oils. This tends to be the norm as they work OK and it keeps costs down. The reason we use cold-pressed Virgin coconut oil in our soap bars is that our soaps only use coconut oil, so we want to use the best quality coconut oil which is Virgin coconut oil. It's the star of the show, the showcase ingredient, the pièce de résistance so to speak. You get an oil that's pressed from fresh coconuts rather than factory processed.
Coconutty does not use palm oil, animal or petroleum products and we're a member of PETA.
